
Meru wind, solar project set to boost clean energy
Hewani Energy is developing a 220-megawatt renewable energy project in Meru County, set to power 400,000 homes through wind and solar. The project, developed in partnership with the local community and government, marks a major step in Kenya’s transition to clean energy.

Meru County Energy Park Stakeholder Engagement
Meru County has taken a major step toward clean energy with the launch of the 230MW Meru County Energy Park Project, featuring 200MW from wind and 30MW from solar. Spearheaded by Hewani Energy and the Meru County Government, the project aims to boost industrial growth, ensure community empowerment, and deliver sustainable development through reliable energy and strategic partnerships.
